He began in the CrossFit program in 2002, and has since earned instructor certifications in Kettlebell Lifting, Muay Thai Kickboxing and Submission Wrestling. The details are what make the difference, and Greg addresses and applies them like no one else.
Unless you’re competing in CrossFit, we’re a better fit
Safe, progressive, all-level strength & conditioning must be rooted in both knowledge and application of the what, why, how, and how much of each movement, lift, rep scheme, and duration.
The devil is in the details. For individuals who want to be strong, powerful, well-conditioned, versatile – and above all, safe – if training under the guidance of instructors following a pre-programmed lead or simply throwing together attrition-based “metcons”, participants will very often miss their potential, and maximize their risk. Learn (properly) before you apply at intensity, and you will make progress forever. At Wolf Brigade, you will learn, apply, refine, and repeat…and improve.
Wolf Brigade emphasizes basic weightlifting and progressive, heavy kettlebell lifting as the cornerstones of the program. Training-day details are outlined by experienced instructors prior to each class. Then instructors remain to teach the class. The competition we promote is with yourself and much less with the clock or a training partner. Importantly, we know that “more” is not simply “more”. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we know how to make people strong, powerful, empowered, and mentally strong, without throwing them into the fire and simply screaming louder.
Our community of strong-minded individuals is supportive, inclusive and diverse. (Like, really though. Not just for the Facebook photo and on game day. People actually help each other and treat each other with respect.)
Wolf Brigade’s details and programming are sought-after and used around the world, and those local to Rochester are fortunate enough to be able to train on-site, six days a week. Wolf Brigade programming is featured Breaking Muscle, global leader in timely, high-quality information on exercise, fitness, health, and nutrition.
Greg’s pursuit of progress in a range of disciplines has resulted in a function-based, strength-driven expertise with maces, hammers, and kettlebells unlike any other. With details in place, these implements go from gimmick to goldmine, and all it requires is the willingness to learn!
Here you will find trainers uniquely qualified to instruct in the use of barbells, maces, hammers, kettlebells and bodyweight movements. We use each for their intended purpose- and to the potential of it- to build and fix your body. Our precise, progressive approach will set the stage for you to exceed all prior expectations of strength, power, conditioning, physical proficiency, and mental durability.
