Thursday noon class each week is going to focus on “Odd Lifts”, which for our purposes include sledgehammers, maces, and kettlebells.
Today we worked on:
– static holds of heavy mace in back pendulum start position
– back pendulum
when 20 reps are able to be performed with mace reaching shoulder height on each side, work the pull-over into the mace squat front position
– hand-to-hand swings with focus on pulling hand up & out, not back & away
– wall ball substitute with focus on deep squat catch & push position
