(Photo: We asked if they wanted to model by the water, and they said yes. Good career choice.)

10 Turkish Get-up @ 70% of 1RM (5 x 1L, 1R)

Be patient, make progress- add a 2/1000 pause to any transition point that you are struggling with; If we are skipping steps, making a technical error, or trying to hurry through a portion of the movement we are weak at, the 2/1000 will catch it and force an adjustment.

Then, 20 minutes of:

20 reps mace lift/ swing of choice
10 Kettlebell “Short swing”
@ 1/2 BW
100 Jumprope
:20 sec. rest

Make useful, progress-minded choices in both movement and weight; Change by round as desired, but use no more than 3 movements within the 20 minutes.

“Short swing” simply denotes a heavy, short-range kettlebell swing with the intent of safely driving as much weight as structurally possible to just below chin height. Today, use weight designated above.

Kettlebell swing reminder: If we lose our strong hinge, back rounds, or legs fail to snap straight in the “drive” portion of the movement, adjust accordingly and continue safely.

And then, “Time under tension”:

Plank hold @ minimum 1/2 BW
(Minimum) 25 High-quality sit-ups (Dowel/ “Prison” Abmat, V-up, hollow rock, 360)
25 calorie Airdyne cool-down

“Prison” sit-up: Interlock fingers and keep both hands behind the head. Reps count when shoulders and elbows touch the ground simultaneously. Butt stays on the ground, posture is upright at the top; Pace is not a substitute for position, even in simple movements.

If time reaches two minutes in plank hold, you may stop if desired. If time is under two minutes, do it again, and accumulate at least two total minutes.

Note: Today, add a minimum of 1/2 bodyweight in bumper plates/ sandbags across lower back starting at top of tailbone. Goal today is enough weight to allow stability for between :20 – :30 sec

Reminder! (Almost) all movements referenced above are linked to high-quality video demonstrations/ explanations!
Please use them to your advantage!
