In this variation, once the shovel is completed and stopped in the center, the mace press will oscillate safely and sensibly in either direction, and re-brace and press at five different angles (5 points).
Outside of torso angle, all other position, bracing, and mechanics/ range stay the same. Attempt to replicate angles from L to R in order to assess and balance work.
Reminder on all mace press variations: The bottom arm “leads the dance”. It is to be hard, engaged, and “pressing”- even though it isn’t moving!
