From a practiced-and-proven front pendulum position, and once the mace has “floated” past parallel with the floor, the handle is attentively disengaged, allowed to spin to upright, and grabbed and secured like you mean it. Return the mace safely to the ground using the descent of a mace shovel.
The “Varial” was a creation based on a need to move a mace from low-to-high in the front, and transition seamlessly from the front pendulum, into nearly all of our other lifts and movements.
